15.08.12 - Utah Valley University Chamber Choir Releases “Food of Love” CD

The Utah Valley University Chamber Choir recently released a new CD entitled “The Food of Love” featuring a wide variety of choral music by composers David Dickau, John Chorbajian, David Hamilton, William Hawley, Robert Schumann, Eric Whitacre, David Brunner, Herbert Howells, Frank Martin, Benjamin Boster, Anton Bruckner, and the UVU Chamber Choir Director, Reed Criddle. I perform with the choir on the final track, “Pietà,” which is an exquisite piece by Dr. Criddle inspired by Michelangelo’s marble Pietà in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. This piece on the CD is a world premier recording.

The choir performed several of the selections on the CD during its performances in several venues in Washington, DC incuding the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (highlighted in the CD cover photo), the National Capitol Building, and the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church. The CD is available from the UVU Department of Music for $15. To order, please contact the Department of Music or Dr. Reed Criddle.
